Waukesha, WI (June 11, 2025) – A devastating multi-vehicle crash in the Village of Waukesha claimed the lives of two elderly individuals and injured two others Monday afternoon, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
According to reports, the fatal collision happened around 3:16 p.m. on June 9 at the intersection of State Highway 164 and Lawnsdale Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 91-year-old woman was driving northbound and attempted to turn left onto Lawnsdale Road, crossing into the path of a southbound semi-truck driven by a 44-year-old man.
The impact pushed the woman’s vehicle into another car that was stopped at the intersection. Both the 91-year-old driver and her passenger, a 92-year-old man, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver and the driver of the third vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The intersection was shut down for several hours as authorities investigated.
