Fort Worth, TX. (November 9, 2025) – A young woman has tragically died following a violent wrong-way crash that occurred earlier this week on the West Freeway in Fort Worth.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place Tuesday afternoon, November 5, on the West Freeway near the Interstate 30 ramp. Authorities say 45-year-old Gary Morton was operating a vehicle heading the wrong direction when he collided head-on with another car.
That vehicle was carrying 22-year-old Totiana Samuels, who was seriously injured and transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries. A second passenger in Samuels’ vehicle, 25-year-old Shaterrka Miller, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
Morton was arrested at the scene and faces multiple charges, including two counts of intoxication assault and one count of DWI. The investigation is ongoing.
