Grant County, WA (September 23, 2025) — One person was killed and three others were hurt following a two-vehicle crash on State Route 283 near George on Sunday, September 22.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a 71-year-old man was traveling along SR 283 when, for reasons still under investigation, he veered into oncoming traffic. His vehicle collided head-on with a second car carrying three people.
The 48-year-old driver of the second vehicle died at the scene. The two passengers in that vehicle, along with the elderly driver, were all injured and transported to area hospitals for further treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly disclosed.
