Lacey, NJ (August 10, 2026) – A 20-year-old New York City woman, identified as Iisiz Lopez, died following a two-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway on August 7. The accident occurred in the northbound lanes shortly before 3 p.m. and involved a Toyota sedan and a Hyundai sedan.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the Toyota was traveling north with a 26-year-old New York City man behind the wheel and four passengers. The Toyota reportedly left the roadway to the left, struck a guiderail, returned to the Garden State Parkway, and collided with the northbound Hyundai sedan.
Lopez and an infant, who were both rear-seat passengers in the Toyota, were ejected during the collision. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota driver, infant, and other Toyota passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital for further care. The Hyundai driver also suffered minor injuries.
