Moore County, TX (September 19, 2026) – Brenda Guadalupe Galaviz, 40, of Amarillo, was killed and another driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Moore County on Wednesday afternoon, September 16.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at approximately 3:37 p.m. on U.S. 87 near County Road 8. Galaviz was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse westbound through a construction zone when her vehicle collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado traveling in an adjacent lane.
Galaviz was transported to Moore County Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
