Sacramento County, CA (October 10, 2025) – One person was killed and two others were hospitalized Thursday afternoon following a violent crash in La Riviera, a community in Sacramento County, after a vehicle struck a tree and overturned.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. on October 10 at 8740 La Riviera Drive near Watt Avenue. Emergency crews with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District arrived to find a severely damaged Hyundai flipped over, with three occupants trapped inside.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters extricated two passengers from the vehicle and transported them to a nearby hospital. Their conditions remain undisclosed at this time.
