Los Angeles, CA (November 11, 2025) – A tragic early morning crash in Santa Clarita claimed the life of an off-duty LAPD officer over the weekend.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, at the intersection of Cinema Drive and Bouquet Canyon Road. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 25-year-old Officer Bailey Magana.
Officer Magana had been driving a Tesla when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle collided with a utility pole. The impact caused the Tesla to catch fire. Fire crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded swiftly and extinguished the flames.
