Saugus, CA (November 11, 2025) – A deadly crash in Saugus claimed the life of a Simi Valley man early Saturday morning when a pickup truck veered off the road and struck a tree.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle collision occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on November 8 at the intersection of David Way and Bouquet Canyon Road. Authorities confirmed that the truck was carrying two occupants when it drifted off the roadway and slammed into a tree.

One of the passengers, identified as 55-year-old Brad Whitley, was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officials. A second man, who was trapped inside the wreckage, was rescued by Los Angeles County Fire Department crews and airlifted to Henry Mayo Hospital for medical treatment.
