White Township, NJ (July 15, 2025) – A late-night crash in Warren County claimed the life of a Pennsylvania woman after an SUV overturned and caught fire, according to local authorities. The devastating wreck happened Friday, July 11, around 11:19 p.m. on County Road 519 South near milepost 42.8 in White Township.

According to reports, troopers with the New Jersey State Police responded to the scene and found the Hyundai SUV fully engulfed in flames. A preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was heading southbound when it veered off the right side of the road, struck a large rock and a utility pole, then overturned before catching fire.

The driver, identified as 54-year-old Jacqueline Bernette Breeland of Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger inside the SUV suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Investigators are working to determine what caused the SUV to leave the roadway and overturn. Officials have not released any additional details as the investigation remains ongoing.
