Columbia, SC (October 13, 2026) – A passenger died following a three-vehicle accident on Clemson Road near Longtown Road in Columbia on Saturday evening, October 10. The collision occurred around 6:43 p.m. in Richland County and involved a Kia Forte, a Chevrolet Silverado, and a Kia Sorento.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the Kia Forte was traveling westbound on Clemson Road when its driver attempted to turn left onto Longtown Road. During the turn, an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado struck the passenger side of the Forte.
The impact caused the Forte to collide with a Kia Sorento that was stopped at the intersection.
Both the driver and passenger of the Forte suffered injuries and were transported to a hospital for medical treatment. The passenger later died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Authorities reported that the Chevrolet Silverado driver and both occupants of the Kia Sorento were not injured.
