Sacramento, CA (December 28, 2025) – A deadly crash early Saturday morning left one person dead and four others hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in South Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 1:13 a.m. on December 27 when a gray Nissan Rogue reportedly ran a red light at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue. The vehicle collided with a silver Nissan Rogue before crashing into a nearby parking lot and striking a fence.
The driver of the gray SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in that vehicle were transported to local hospitals with major injuries. The driver and a passenger in the silver Rogue also sustained major injuries and were hospitalized.
