Southington, OH (November 14, 2025) – A Pennsylvania woman lost her life in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday evening at a busy Southington Township intersection in Trumbull County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 6:25 p.m. on November 13 at the intersection of U.S. Route 422 and State Route 305. Hollie Markun, 50, of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, was driving a 2023 Honda Accord northwest on Route 422 when she attempted a left turn onto westbound Route 305. As she turned, her vehicle was struck on the side by a 2023 Jeep Cherokee traveling southeast.
Markun sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 30-year-old driver of the Jeep and his passenger, both from Youngstown, were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
