San Joaquin County, CA (November 30, 2025) – A man lost his life following a head-on collision in San Joaquin County Thursday evening, according to authorities.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred just after 6:18 p.m. on November 27 near the intersection of North Walnut Grove Road and Dead Horse Island Road, close to the Sacramento County line. CHP officials from the Stockton division reported that a GMC Yukon and a Ford Mustang collided head-on for reasons that have not yet been released.
The male driver of the Mustang was transported from the scene to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Yukon sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Their conditions and identities have not been disclosed.
Authorities shut down the roadway during the response and cleanup. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol were factors. The crash remains under active investigation.
