Malibu, CA (December 6, 2025) – A deadly head-on collision occurred Thursday evening on a notorious stretch of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, leaving at least one person dead and prompting an extended highway closure.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 7:17 p.m. on December 5, 2025. A sedan and an SUV collided head-on along PCH north of Deer Creek Road. When emergency crews from the Ventura County Fire Department arrived, one of the vehicles was fully engulfed in flames.
At least one person was confirmed dead at the scene. Authorities have not released further details on whether additional occupants were injured or transported to the hospital. The highway remained closed for several hours while officials investigated and cleared debris.
