Palmdale, CA (November 7, 2025) – Authorities have identified 38-year-old Jeanette Garcia as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Palmdale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 4:13 a.m. on November 2 at the intersection of 20th Street East and Avenue S. Garcia was pushing a shopping cart across Avenue S when she was struck by a light blue 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis traveling westbound.
Instead of stopping, the driver fled the scene. Emergency personnel arrived shortly afterward and pronounced Garcia dead at the scene.
