Los Angeles, CA (December 15, 2025) – A devastating hit-and-run crash claimed the lives of three people Friday night, including 20-year-old U.S. Marine Adrian Carrillo, who was home for the holidays. The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Woodman Avenue and Terra Bella Street, near the border of Panorama City and Arleta.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident unfolded when a minivan driver, reportedly fleeing an earlier crash, ran a red light and collided with a blue Ford Mustang and a Honda Civic. Carrillo and his girlfriend, both 20, were in the Mustang and died at the scene. Friends say Carrillo had returned home to spend the holidays with his father, whose wife died of cancer earlier this year.
The minivan driver, described as a 30-year-old man, also died in the crash. A 35-year-old passenger in the van was hospitalized in critical condition after being extricated from the wreckage. The driver of the Honda Civic fled the scene and has not been located.
