San Jose, CA (September 9, 2025) – A woman riding a scooter was tragically killed Sunday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in downtown San Jose.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m. on September 7 at the intersection of Santa Clara Street and Cahill Street. San Jose Police reported that the victim was traveling on a scooter when she was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene immediately after the impact.
The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. Her identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
