Alhambra, CA (December 22, 2025) – A devastating house fire in Alhambra late Friday night claimed the life of one person and left others injured with burn wounds.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the blaze broke out around 10:54 p.m. on December 20 in the 1800 block of South Curtis Avenue. Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire at a single-family residence and arrived to find active flames and multiple victims.
Two individuals were found in a backhouse suffering from burn injuries, while another person was discovered trapped in the front section of the property. Despite firefighters’ rescue attempts, the individual in the main house was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released.
