Clackamas County, OR (November 19, 2025) – A deadly crash involving a motorcycle claimed the life of a young rider in Clackamas County early Sunday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, the accident happened around 8:39 a.m. on November 16, 2025, along Highway 224 near milepost 14. Authorities say the rider, 22-year-old Akahieleu Redo of Oregon City, was traveling westbound on a Yamaha R6 when the motorcycle lost control while navigating a curve.
The bike reportedly left the roadway, hit a dirt mound, and became airborne. Both Redo and the motorcycle came to rest in a nearby tree. Redo was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries or arrests were reported. Highway 224 remained partially closed for about two hours while crews conducted their investigation.
The circumstances of the crash remain under review by law enforcement officials.
