Jacksonville, FL (October 13, 2026) – A motorcyclist in his late 20s lost his life in a collision involving a pickup truck on Hodges Boulevard near Danforth Drive in Jacksonville late Sunday night, October 11. The fatal accident occurred around 10:15 p.m., just south of Beach Boulevard in Duval County.

The motorcycle struck the rear of the pickup truck, causing the Tacoma to overturn. The rider was thrown from his motorcycle during the impact.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead.
Authorities reported that the collision marked Duval County’s 128th traffic fatality of 2026 and the 17th involving a motorcycle.
Traffic along Hodges Boulevard was affected while investigators examined the crash scene. The investigation remains ongoing.
