Long Beach, CA (September 1, 2025) – A deadly motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 37-year-old man Saturday night at a busy intersection in Long Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:01 p.m. on August 30 at the intersection of 11th Street and Redondo Avenue. Authorities say the motorcyclist was riding a 2010 KTM motorcycle south on Redondo Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Toyota Sequoia traveling eastbound on 11th Street.
The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency personnel. His identity has not been released pending family notification.
Police arrested the driver of the Toyota, 33-year-old Frank Andrade Jr. of Long Beach, on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter. The investigation remains ongoing.
