East Windsor Twp., NJ (August 8, 2025) – A deadly chain-reaction collision on the New Jersey Turnpike left one person dead and two others injured Thursday morning in Mercer County. The crash happened on August 7 shortly after 10:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes at milepost 68.2, according to New Jersey State Police.

According to reports, the incident began when a semi-truck struck a Ford F-150 pickup from behind, then collided with a Mercedes. The force of the impact pushed the Ford into the rear of another tractor-trailer, causing a wheel to detach and strike a van. Moments later, the Ford caught fire, killing its driver.
