Volusia County, FL (October 6, 2025) — A deadly chain-reaction collision occurred Saturday night along Interstate 4, leaving three people dead and one injured in a crash involving four vehicles.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place shortly after 10:15 p.m. on October 5, along the eastbound lanes of I-4 near mile marker 106, just east of Debary Avenue. The vehicles involved included a 2025 Dodge Durango, 2013 Ford Focus, 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, and a 2020 Honda Pilot.
Troopers report the Durango shifted from the center lane into the inside lane, directly into the path of the Focus. The Focus then struck the motorcycle, hit a guardrail, bounced back into traffic, and crashed into the Honda Pilot.
The motorcyclist, along with the driver and a passenger in the Honda Pilot, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Focus sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The Dodge Durango fled but was later located, abandoned, in a Flagler County parking lot. It had damage consistent with the crash and was seized as part of an ongoing investigation.
