Monterey County, CA (August 8, 2025) – Authorities are investigating a deadly collision involving a pedestrian and a juvenile driver Tuesday night in Monterey County. The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at approximately 9:57 p.m. on August 5 along Reservation Road, just south of Blanco.
According to reports, a 16-year-old male from Seaside was traveling southbound in the same lane as the pedestrian when the vehicle struck the man. The pedestrian, identified as 35-year-old Eudoro Moya Jr. of Marina, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The teen driver remained at the scene and was not injured. Authorities stated he was not suspected of driving under the influence. Investigators have not confirmed whether the pedestrian was impaired at the time. The crash remains under active investigation.
