Antioch, CA (December 24, 2025) – Authorities in Contra Costa County are investigating a fatal incident in which a pedestrian was struck and killed on eastbound Highway 4 in Antioch during a police response to an earlier disturbance.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident began around 10:35 a.m. on December 23 when Antioch police responded to a reported disturbance at the Comfort Inn on Mahogany Way. The suspect involved had allegedly pulled a fire alarm and assaulted a security guard at the location.
