Dallas, TX (November 1, 2025) – A 30-year-old man has died following a devastating pedestrian crash that took place earlier this month in Dallas. Authorities identified the victim as Braden Taylor Richardson of Dallas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. on October 11 in the 5200 block of Harry Hines Boulevard, near Parkland Hospital. Investigators said Rocky Joe Sustaita, 44, was driving a truck northwest on the roadway when he lost control. The vehicle reportedly veered off the road, struck a street sign, collided with two trees, and ultimately hit Richardson, who was lying next to one of the trees.

Emergency responders transported Richardson to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Sustaita was found to be intoxicated and was arrested at the scene. He faces a charge of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and was later released on a $250,000 bond. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
