Gilroy, CA (July 19, 2025) – A deadly collision in Gilroy Tuesday night claimed the life of a 61-year-old man after he was struck by a motorcycle along Santa Teresa Boulevard.
According to reports, officers with the Gilroy Police Department responded to the crash just before 8 p.m. on July 16 near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Ballybunion Drive. When they arrived, both the pedestrian and the motorcyclist were found down in the roadway.
The motorcyclist, a 53-year-old Gilroy resident, sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The pedestrian, however, suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
