The tragic incident occurred around 4:15 a.m. on July 7, 2025, when Shawano County Dispatch received a 911 call about a pedestrian lying in a roadside ditch.
According to reports, deputies arrived to find a 32-year-old man from the Shawano area unresponsive. Despite immediate CPR efforts by deputies and EMS personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the driver, a 38-year-old man from Keshena, struck the pedestrian while driving home from work in Green Bay.
