Oildale, CA (August 22, 2025) – A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Oildale has been identified as 42-year-old Adam Clayton Guthrie of Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 8:47 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, at the intersection of North Chester Avenue and Roberts Lane. Guthrie was hit by a Toyota pickup truck under unclear circumstances. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported him to Kern Medical with severe injuries.
