Modesto, CA (October 6, 2026) – One driver was killed Sunday evening after two pickup trucks collided on northbound Highway 99 in Modesto.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the October 4 crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on State Route 99 north of Carpenter Road. A Chevrolet pickup and a GMC pickup were traveling north when the vehicles collided.
Investigators reported that the Chevrolet driver, identified as 22-year-old John Rojasnaranjo of San Francisco, was changing lanes when his pickup collided with the GMC traveling beside it.
