Argyle, IA (August 20, 2025) – A tragic rollover crash in Lee County ended the life of a Farmington man Friday night.
According to reports, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 29-year-old Thomas Spears died after a crash at approximately 8:15 p.m. on August 15 along 170th Avenue near Argyle. Witnesses told deputies that Spears attempted to swerve to avoid a deer in the roadway. His vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest. Spears died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
