Millville, NJ (September 10, 2025) – A tragic early morning crash in Cumberland County claimed the life of a local man who was riding an electric scooter through a city intersection.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on September 8 at the intersection of North 3rd Street and East Pine Street in Millville. Authorities say a 24-year-old woman from Vineland was driving a vehicle northbound on North 3rd Street when her car collided with a scooter entering the intersection.
The scooter rider, identified as 36-year-old Robert Bowman of Millville, was severely injured in the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
