San Fernando, CA (January 19, 2026) – A pedestrian was tragically killed Thursday afternoon after being struck by a semi-truck in a grocery store parking lot in San Fernando.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred just before 2 p.m. on January 15 in the 6700 block of North Van Nuys Boulevard, near Vanowen Street. Reports indicate that the semi-truck was pulling into the store’s loading bay when it fatally struck the pedestrian.
Medical personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived shortly after and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner also responded to assist with the investigation and removal of the remains.
