Clarendon County, SC (August 31, 2026) – A fatal semi truck crash Friday afternoon on Interstate 95 in Clarendon County claimed the lives of two people after the tractor trailer left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:22 p.m. on August 28 along Interstate 95 northbound between the 117 and 119 mile markers. Authorities said the tractor trailer was traveling in the southbound lanes before crossing the median, entering a wooded area on the northbound side of the interstate, and striking a tree near mile marker 117.
