Fresno County, CA (Aug. 13, 2025) – One person is dead and two others were hospitalized after a high-speed crash in Fresno County early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the collision occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on August 13 along Auberry Road near Beal Fire Road. Investigators say three people in their 20s were inside a Toyota traveling too fast around a curve when the vehicle struck a tree. The impact brought the tree down across Auberry Road.
The driver called 911 for help, and both the driver and one passenger were transported to the hospital for treatment. The other passenger died at the scene. Crews were working to clear the roadway of debris later in the morning.
