Buffalo Township, PA (November 4, 2025) – A deadly three-vehicle collision in Butler County Saturday afternoon claimed the lives of two local residents and left another person injured, according to authorities.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash took place at approximately 3 p.m. on November 2 at the intersection of Younkins Road and South Pike Road in Buffalo Township. Police confirmed that 72-year-old Douglas Frosch and 78-year-old Bonnie Grove, both of Butler, died as a result of the crash.
Grove, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. Frosch, who was driving the same vehicle, was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. Another woman, riding in a second vehicle, sustained injuries and was treated at a local medical facility. Two individuals in a third vehicle were not hurt but were understandably shaken by the collision.
