Paso Robles, CA (December 7, 2025) – A 63-year-old man from Paso Robles was tragically killed in a violent rear-end collision involving a box truck and a Lexus on Thursday morning, December 4, on Highway 46 East at Golden Hill Road.
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. as the man waited at a red light in the westbound lanes of the highway. A Freightliner box truck, driven by a 25-year-old Bakersfield resident, failed to slow down and slammed into the back of the stopped Lexus.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the driver of the Lexus dead at the site. Authorities later arrested the truck driver, identified as Gean C., on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
