Vineland, NJ (August 24, 2025) – A weekend drive turned tragic early Sunday when a two-vehicle crash claimed the life of a local man in Cumberland County. The deadly collision occurred at approximately 6:50 a.m. along East Landis Avenue in Vineland.
According to reports, 72-year-old Efrain DeLatorre-Valdesp of Vineland was traveling eastbound when another SUV, heading west, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck his vehicle. DeLatorre-Valdesp was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old man also from Vineland, was hospitalized with injuries. A 54-year-old passenger in the SUV was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for additional treatment.
