Fairfield, CA (January 24, 2026) – A devastating wrong-way collision on Interstate 80 in Fairfield early Sunday morning has claimed the lives of three people, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on January 18 just before 2:30 a.m. along the westbound lanes of I-80, east of the Cordelia Weigh Station. The initial collision involved a white Dodge Charger carrying two men and a black Land Rover driven by a woman. Tragically, all three individuals died in the crash.
Authorities have not yet confirmed which vehicle was traveling the wrong way, though witnesses reported seeing a light-colored sedan heading in the wrong direction before the impact. The Solano County division of CHP identified the deceased as D’Juan Brown, 21, of Antioch; Douglas McClain, 21; and Sweta Burathoki, 34, of Vacaville.
