Manchester, NJ (December 17, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in Manchester Township left one person hospitalized and caused major traffic backups on Monday afternoon.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. on December 15 at the intersection of County Route 571 and Commonwealth Boulevard. Authorities say a 2020 GMC Acadia attempted to turn left onto Commonwealth Boulevard but failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The vehicle was struck on the rear passenger side by an eastbound 2007 Mazda 3 that had a green light.
The force of the collision caused the Mazda to spin and strike a 2026 Honda HR-V traveling westbound, resulting in extensive front-end damage. The GMC, now rotating, collided with a 2023 Kia Telluride on Commonwealth Boulevard. All four vehicles sustained varying levels of damage.
One person, identified as Lori Martinson, 68, of Manchester, was taken to Community Medical Center with chest, leg, and back pain. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening. Taylor Ketchell, 31, of New Egypt, was the driver of the Mazda and declined transport despite reporting leg pain.
