Gilroy, CA (January 15, 2025) – A devastating head-on collision on Shore Road in Gilroy claimed the lives of three individuals and left two others seriously injured Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m. west of Lake Road. Preliminary reports indicate a westbound vehicle veered into the eastbound lane, colliding with an oncoming car.
The eastbound car’s driver and two rear passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. A front-seat passenger in the same vehicle suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
The westbound car’s driver, the sole occupant, also sustained serious injuries and was flown to an area hospital.
Authorities have not released further details about the victims or potential causes of the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.
