Long Beach, CA (November 12, 2025) – A 19-year-old woman who was struck by a car in a Long Beach parking lot earlier this month has tragically passed away, officials announced Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 4:00 p.m. on November 2, in the 2200 block of Bellflower Boulevard near Stearns Street. Grace Edwards, a resident of Long Beach, was walking near a parking lot when she was struck by a 2015 Lexus IS250.
The driver, a 39-year-old Long Beach resident, was backing out of a parking stall when the crash occurred. Emergency personnel responded quickly, treating Edwards at the scene and transporting her to a nearby hospital.
Sadly, she died from her injuries on November 5.
