Anza, CA (July 27, 2025) – Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a serious crash Thursday after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 74, just south of Lake Hemet near Anza.
According to reports, the crash occurred on July 25 and involved two vehicles. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department confirmed that one person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be rescued by responding firefighters.
Both individuals involved suffered moderate injuries. One victim was transported by ground ambulance, while the other was airlifted via helicopter to a nearby trauma center for further medical treatment. The current conditions of both patients have not been disclosed.
The California Highway Patrol’s Indio Station has taken over the investigation into the cause of the crash. Officials have not yet released information on any potential contributing factors or citations.
