Rosamond, CA (August 2, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision in Rosamond on Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of one man and left another seriously injured, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol in Mojave.

According to reports, the deadly crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on July 29 along Rosamond Boulevard, just west of 45th Street West. A 2016 Hyundai and a 2004 Honda, each driven by a man, collided while traveling in opposite directions.

One of the drivers, who has not yet been identified, succumbed to his injuries at Antelope Valley Hospital. The other man was transported to the same hospital with major injuries. Authorities are investigating the possibility that impairment may have played a role in the crash.
