Fresno County, CA (September 16, 2025) – A young man from Reedley lost his life Sunday morning in a head-on collision on a rural road in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash took place around 8:30 a.m. on September 12, along American Avenue just west of Navalencia Avenue. Authorities identified the victim as 28-year-old Victor Reyes Jr.
Preliminary reports indicate Reyes Jr. was driving along American Avenue when, for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic. His car collided head-on with a camper van traveling in the opposite direction.
Emergency responders arrived and pronounced Reyes Jr. dead at the scene. The driver of the camper van sustained moderate injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital. Officials confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not suspected as contributing factors.
