San Diego, CA (July 29, 2025) – A woman was hospitalized Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in an alleged hit-and-run crash on a sidewalk in San Diego’s Paradise neighborhood.

According to reports, the incident occurred just before 8:20 a.m. on July 27 in the 2700 block of Homedale Street. San Diego Police say a vehicle veered onto the sidewalk and hit a 59-year-old woman as she was walking northbound.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping, and investigators are still working to identify the suspect.

The victim sustained a fractured fibula and a subdural brain hemorrhage. While the injuries are serious, authorities confirmed she is expected to survive. No description of the suspect vehicle has been released at this time.
