Los Angeles, CA (July 3, 2025) — A 62-year-old man lost his life early Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing an intersection in South Los Angeles.
According to reports, the deadly collision happened around 12:50 a.m. on July 2 at the intersection of San Pedro Street and Imperial Highway. The Los Angeles Police Department says the pedestrian was crossing Imperial Highway southbound when he was hit by a tan-colored Honda traveling eastbound. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver continued east toward Avalon Boulevard and has not yet been found.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of family.
