Los Angeles, CA (July 3, 2025) — A 62-year-old man lost his life early Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing an intersection in South Los Angeles.
According to reports, the deadly collision happened around 12:50 a.m. on July 2 at the intersection of San Pedro Street and Imperial Highway. The Los Angeles Police Department says the pedestrian was crossing Imperial Highway southbound when he was hit by a tan-colored Honda traveling eastbound. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver continued east toward Avalon Boulevard and has not yet been found.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of family. Officers are now urging anyone with information about the suspect vehicle or the driver’s whereabouts to come forward as the investigation continues.
