Authorities report that the 59-year-old man was traveling westbound on his motorcycle when he was struck by a sedan changing lanes. The impact left the motorcyclist in critical condition, and he was transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on January 15.
The driver of the sedan, a 53-year-old man, remained at the scene and was not injured. Police stated that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Speed, alcohol, and drugs are not believed to have been factors in the incident.
