Davis, CA (December 12, 2025) – One person was killed in a tragic industrial accident Wednesday morning in Yolo County. The fatal incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on December 10 along County Road 28, near the Yolo County Central Landfill.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved two dump trucks operated by Northern Recycling. While both trucks were unloading at the landfill site, one of the vehicles tipped over unexpectedly. The contents spilled directly onto the second dump truck, which was occupied at the time.
Emergency responders from the Davis Fire Department rushed to the scene and attempted life-saving measures. Sadly, the driver inside the second truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
