Clifton, TX (August 1, 2026) – A two vehicle crash on Highway 6 in Clifton left a 30 year old woman with life threatening injuries and a young child hurt Monday afternoon. The collision occurred on July 20 near Farm to Market Road 2136 and remains under investigation.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, investigators reported that Kasidy Stewart was driving a truck when she crossed into oncoming traffic in an apparent attempt to avoid another vehicle at the intersection. Her truck then collided with a Ford F-250 before leaving the roadway, entering a ditch, and striking a metal barrier.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and provided medical care to Stewart, who suffered a traumatic brain injury. She was transported to a hospital, where she remains in a coma.
